A relaxing Sunday.

Today after a long time I enjoyed a sunday. It was my moms birthday yesterday, so we ladies spent our time pampering ourselves in the parlour. Hey! so what if my mom only deserved it because it was her day :p.. Had an awesome family dinner later. Lovely time.

After reading this, one might think if yesterday was all about fun instead of today then why was today so enjoyable. Well today I enjoyed the after-effects of a brilliant day spent :) ..

I don't feel like writing anything close to being termed as 'words of wisdom' but what i can share with you is that I learnt too slangs this week "Chirkot" and "Sharty" .. hehe. Good addition. and no, not planning on using it.

Anyway, enjoy this song.

Saturday Rides

My husband and I work at the same office. On saturdays, its our ritual to stop at Dunkin have breakfast and then proceed to office. Recently, we have made another ritual (pertaining to the ride to the office). Since the couple of weeks we ride to office on a sports bike. Its exhilarating. Open roads, early mornings ( well not-so-early ), pleasant wind, makes it all the more enjoyable. There are a few things you notice more, while you are out there. A car full of teenage boys gawking in awe as you speed away. My husband ( the show off that he is :) ) would speed up when he notices someone is looking for some piece of action. By looking at my surrounding, I comfortably adjust my grip because I can guess when we are about to get on rocket speed.
Anyway, what amused me was the level of excitement small college going boys have over bunking. Its like an achievement. Rebellion does have its own adrenalin rush.Such young adolescents learning the walks of life, unsure from the inside still trying to keep a chin up as though bunking would make them the bravest arse in the world. But its really cute to see it all happen.

p.s. by the way, this happened last saturday. Just didnt get the time to finish the draft.

Bad Day By Daniel Powter (HQ Sound)

I have all been through one of these times. Love this song. I never saw the video up until now. It develops really nicely, until the very last shot. It was completely out of the blue. Anyway, the song is way awesome. Hence I thought of sharing on my blog.

Ciao!

Limit of Sleep.

At 1:18 a.m., I received a frantic call from my mom. Apparently the ground was shaking. It was a 7.4 magnitude Earthquake. Everyone at the coast side had come out of their homes in fear of the worst. After listening to mum, I went back to my peaceful sleep. Guess, there is a dire need for me to keep a cold bucket of water nearby for moments like these.

Every now and then, Allah reminds us how fragile a human life is, or any living thing for that matter. If nothing is in our hands then what is? Amongst all the natural disasters, terminal illnesses, accidents, flukes, viruses going around, its a miracle that we are still alive. We are the lucky ones. Allah mia has been very kind. Very kind indeed. Ask yourself, do you deserve this kindness? and then ask yourself, how can you be deserving?

Someone wrote somewhere and i qoute "We are all the same... from the inside". And we are all alive. Should be made worth it.

*Cheers*

Breaking the Habit or creating one?

New year is usually about making resolutions, although we seldom follow them. But that does not mean we don't like holding on to it till the new year starts and then we let go of the idea!

Anyway, the point is. Something weird is up with me. This new year, instead of resolutions ( force coming from within ) some alien habits ( forces from outside ) are taking shape in my routines. I am loosing my appetite ( well to an extent ) and less sleep.

Is that a good thing or bad. Well, there is a lot I can accomplish if i don't sleep as much. I remember feeling sleep deprived most of the last year. Maybe I don't feel sleepy this year cos i overslept last year? go figure!.

I like night times. Its 1:21 a.m. in the night. Its peaceful. I have work in the morning...HOLD that thought! argh. Should i lie down and try to make myself go to sleep? I could watch a boring movie to bring me some droopy eyes.

I will play some games! Oops! I had to catch up on some replies!

Later! Cheers!

Come back.

Well, THAT, my friend is called a huge huge gap!

Technically, this has not been the only pad to itch down my thoughts. I promised on my journal THAT would be my last blog, but somehow Blogger pulled me back. This is my root.

I will not promise to be regular, but I will try to make it worth reading.

Until next time.

Peter Answers ( a.k.a Peter Plays )

It is a profound yet depressing experience to see how much we yearn for someone to tell us the answers for us. Looking powerless at the hands of our own fate, even though it may be in our hands. Given the fact that yes although invisible, but yet still within grasp.

For days, there had been a havoc going around in our office about a site called "peteranswers" that seems to answer everything accurate. Only to selected individuals though, supposedly through a psychic connection it accomplishes with the one writing the questions. Later that day, I found out the trick ( or the actual truth behind it being fake. ) Since a couple of jokers around at the office still wanted to take pleasure out of the joke, they requested me not to reveal the mystery behind it, so I kept to myself for their sake of seemingly harmless fun. Meanwhile, I found it as a nice opportunity to help a couple of people gain courage through the comfort of it coming through a source which they had come to relie on as being credible, where in reality they were my suggestions as if they were coming from Peter. After I had accomplished my motive, I proclaimed to have lost the "psychic" connection so that no one else would come to me as I didnt feel comfortable making a fool out of someone (pardon my earlier confession, for it was done for someones betterment totally) just to drive pleasure. Next day at the office the whole office was under currently buzzing with the "words of peter", as I was just about to get up to leave for some work, my extension rang. I picked up to hear a familiar voice of a lady whom I only exchange morning greetings as I enter office every morning, she works at the front desk so she doesnt have access to PC or can use the computers. She wanted to ask me of a favour since she heard I was one of the people whom Peter talked to. Since I was in a hurry I didnt realize what was going to hit me next and so I off-handedly said, "sure", thinking I will let her know in person when I whiz by her on the way in a couple of minutes. The questions she asked me made a thump on my heart and made me only reply with a hasty "i'll try" and put the phone down. She was so hopeful that her concerns will be answered in just a while that I couldnt get the courage to tell her that it was fake. It was heartening to see the expresion althought she was smiling still when I told her about the site unability to in actual answer the questions.

What started out as a joke decided to made me learn an imperative lesson and also made me realize an important revelation. All of us are constantly searching for answers, each of us have a story to tell, we all really are infact a novel no best seller could ever match up to. Life is all about undying hope at the face of great uncertainty ( revelation that came to me through certain questions people were asking 'Peter'). We should be strong enough to know the answers to our own questions, if not then we should use the power within us to make answers to those questions as we would want them to be and not relie on some Peter, Tom, Dick or Harry whatever he may be.
